How to download videos from YouTube to iPhone and iPad

How do I download the video from YouTube to my iPhone and save it for later offline viewing? This feature is not provided by default, but you can even bypass this restriction without jailbreaking. For this purpose, we will use the Document 6 file manager or the free YouTube video downloader service.

YouTube video on iPhone and iPad is downloaded in several stages. First we will tell you how to copy the link to the clipboard, then – how to upload content to the memory of your mobile device.

Copying the link to YouTube
If you opened the video in your browser, just copy the link to the address field. If you use the YouTube application, copy the URL via the sharing function.

Step 1: Open the video you want to upload to your iPhone or iPad in the YouTube app.

Step 2: Click “Share” at the top or under the video and then click “Copy Link”.

How to Download YouTube Videos on iPhone
To solve the problem, we will use the Document 6 application and the PickVideo online service.

Step 1: Install the free Document 6 application from the App Store.

Step 2: Open the application and launch the built-in browser (icon at the bottom right corner).

Step 3: Enter the address and open it.

Step 4: After downloading the resource, click the button with the YouTube logo.

Step 5: Paste the link copied to the clipboard into the top line.

Step 6: Click the button to upload the video. The application will show you all the videos available on this page with quality, size and format.

Step 7: Select the desired video, click Download, and then click Download link again.

Step 8: In the window that opens, click the Save button.

Step 9: The application will download the video. It will be located in a folder inside the program.

How to transfer the downloaded video from YouTube to the Photo application
Step 1: In Document 6, open the video folder.

Step 2: Find the clip and click the “…” button. Click the Move button to move the file.

Step 3: In the Move to section, specify the Photo application, i.e. Camera Roll, and confirm to copy the video.

That’s all! The video you’ve downloaded from YouTube will appear in the Photos application folder on your iPhone and iPad.
